My story about meeting a dentist for the first time!
I was around 12 years old and this is the period when every kid is fond of eating chocolates, ice creams and other fast foods. I was really enjoying my moment during those days. Suddenly time took drastic change, meaning, I got some abominable pain inside gums. This pain was so intense that I could not resist. Eventually, my father called 24 hour dentist services hence in the next 15 minutes Ambulance from emergency dental care reached to the doorstep. I become faint due to pain. When I opened my eyes then I found myself on the chair of dental office. Further, I realised that I am in clinics of one of the dentist near me.
During childhood I had so many oral irregularities, like, jaws misalignment hence due to this my face also misaligned, Cross bites issues, and teeth straightening was one of the major challenge. I was heard that teeth straightening works best when we start early at the age of 7 years. Well, my dad was getting many suggestions for my dentofacial issues.
I felt that my dad was getting very worried with my health. That day itself, I took oath with my soul that I will never eat unhealthy foods because I saw my family were much tensed, stressed and worried for my dental health. My dental issues took me to visit an emergency dentist, which is so painful.
After 1 week, emergency dentist discharged me and I came to my home. Now this was the phase when my family started looking for some family dentistry consultation. Thus, we found a family dental care near the street view of San Antonio.
I was lucky to find an affordable dentist…
We luckily found an affordable dentist in San Antonio; she was Dr. Marley. Now the most exciting thing was dentist office in San Antonio opens on Saturday too. So it was quite reachable for us to get treatment at appropriate time. Later I knew Dr. Marley was basically a Pediatric dentist (in general term, kids dentist), that is why She had so much expertise in treating kids dental issues. I had gone through the 12 weeks course of dental treatment at dentist office. So finally all the pains had vanished for the lifetime. It was time to correct other dentofacial issues. Therefore, Dr. Marley suggested us to get in touch with Dr. John Felix. He was basically an orthodontist and he was practicing in Florida. Hence, we moved to Florida and then I had gone through further examination of my teeth for its straightening processes. Ultimately, Dr. John suggested me braces to wear and I wore it for 4 years and finally I got my straight teeth without any kind of dental problems.
This was my childhood story of visiting dentist office so frequently.

During middle ages, Barbers were doing dentistry in China and France. So based on the activities performed by barbers, they were categorized in two types, namely, Guild of barbers and lay barbers. In that era, The Guild of barbers was highly educated and innovative hence they were responsible for dental surgeries and taking care of other dental issues. Whereas, Lay barbers were only involved in their traditional activities like shaving, hair cutting, etc.
Pierre Fauchard, a French Surgeon, was the father of the modern dentistry. There were no advanced tools in late 17th century and early 18th century when Pierre was working on dentistry, hence, he first developed his dental tools by adopting some tools from Watchmakers, Jewellers and Barbers.
